A handmade baby quilt for close friends, finished just before the due date. Inspired by their home and colors, and the first to carry my Everdell label.

I couldn’t resist the fabric — even though I knew it wasn’t the good kind. This third quilt became a lesson in patience, quality, and making things work anyway.

Making my second quilt, Dragon Dreams, became an exercise in patience, color confidence, and letting go of perfection. What started as a playful gift for friends turned into a lesson in trust - in process, materials, and myself.

At 27, I hit burnout — a slow unraveling of energy, memory, and focus. What began as a way to cope quietly turned into something deeply grounding: learning to quilt. Through fabric, thread, and a lot of patience (plus a very helpful cat), I rediscovered balance and creativity, one stitch at a time.
